Japan hikes ferrous scrap price by up to JPY 1500 a tonne - 16 Mar, 2010
JMB reported that Japanese ferrous scrap price increased by JPY 1,000 to JPY 1,500 per tonne last week and reached JPY 35,000 to JPY 37,000 for H2 grade at electric furnace steel makers' purchase price.

The price was lifted under tight supply due to higher purchase volume by integrated steel makers and shipping for existing export orders.
