The Indian domestic steel market seems to be on fire with prices of almost all the products increasing by almost 10% in a span of just 15 days. Average price increase for some of the benchmark products during this period, is 1 Pencil ingot -INR 3,300 per tonne 2. TMT - INR 3,700 per tonne 3. HR - INR 2,400 per tonne Location wise details given below During this period, Indian Long Product Price Index ILPPI went up by 667 points or 10% whereas Indian Flat Product Price Index IFPPI surged by 574 points or 8%. The overall Indian Steel Price Index INDSPI went up by 623 points or 9%.
