ArcelorMittal US rolls back September price hike for flats - 21 Aug, 2008
Platts reported that ArcelorMittal USA has backed down from a previously announced USD 40 per short ton base price increase on its flat rolled products for September 2008 delivery in the US market.
The move reportedly rolls back its hot rolled coil price to USD 1,060 per short ton ex works, its cold rolled price to USD 1,160 per short ton and base grade galvanized product to USD 1,180 per short ton, ex works.
There was also word in the market late last week that Nucor had softened its stance by USD 30 per short ton.
